IP Arbitration Talk
Arbitration – An Effective Tool for SMEs to Resolve IP Disputes
The Arbitration (Amendment) Ordinance 2017 facilitates the arbitration of intellectual property (IP) disputes. All IP disputes (whether within or outside Hong Kong) can be arbitrated and IP arbitral awards can be enforced in Hong Kong. The Intellectual Property Department and the Department of Justice jointly organise a talk which will be delivered by two distinguished IP specialists. The talk highlights the benefits of resolving IP disputes by arbitration, arbitration procedures, and remedies and reliefs which an arbitral tribunal may award. It also covers case studies and practical guidance for SMEs.
