To facilitate the development of intellectual property (IP) financing in Hong Kong, the IP financing sandbox has been launched through the collaboration amongst the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Intellectual Property Department and Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
The sandbox serves as a collaborative platform bringing together banks, legal practitioners, IP valuation service providers, enterprises, regulators and government agencies, with a concerted aim to provide a risk-controlled environment to pilot financing arrangements for enterprises based on the value of their IP assets.
