Mr. Anthony Tong

Mr. Tong has been practicing law since 1990. He is the Managing Partner of Robin Bridge & John Liu. Mr. Tong’s practice includes assisting clients on, inter alia, technology transfer and commercialization. He has also supervised and conducted numerous trade mark, copyright and patent proceedings in Hong Kong, China, the US, Europe and Australia. Mr. Tong is listed by the World Trademark Review as one of the WTR Global Leaders in 2021. He is appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Government-founded Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited (ASTRI) on 21 October 2020. He is further appointed in December 2020 as a Specially Appointed Mediator of the Guangdong Courts for cross-border commercial disputes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal of the Hong Kong Government and has successfully completed the maximum 6-year term on 30 November 2017.

Dr. Francis Law

Prof. Law is the mediator and arbitrator of over 30 regions/countries. He is the lead trainer and the lead assessor of the dispute resolution profession around the world and had trained over 3000 mediators, assessors, advocates and coaches of various professions including judges, barristers, engineers etc. He assisted institutes to design mediation and arbitration service and training. Since 2016, he has been invited to be the observer of the UNCITRAL. Prof. Law was actively involved in the drafting of the Singapore Mediation Convention and was a member of the UN Singapore Mediation Convention Promotional Group Experts Representatives.

Dr. Alex Lau

Dr. Lau has gained profound knowledge and experience on legal aspects of intellectual property market through his involvement in the legal industry for over twenty years. He is the partner of the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Advisory Services Limited (HKIPAS). Currently, Dr. Lau is the IP consultants of various government department and associations, including HKSAR Trade and Industry Department, HK Trade and Development Council, Federation of HK Brands, Asia Pacific Creative Industries Association, etc. Besides, he is serving as council member and accredited mediator of the HK Mediation Accreditation Association Limited. Dr. Lau was recognized for his remarkable performance in the community service and had been awarded “the 2015 HKSAR Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service” in the area of intellectual property (IP).
