Mr. Ronald Yu

Mr. Ronald Yu is an U.S. Patent Agent, has conducted postgraduate classes on patent, intellectual property and information technology law at several Hong Kong universities, and is recently teaching on Fintech.  He started his career in IT and served in various roles at few multinational technology companies, including IBM and Hewlett-Packard. He has also served as the chairman of the Information Technology Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Board Member for the International IP Commercialization Council International Chapter and advisor of the World Intellectual Property Office’s WIPO Green. He has published articles on intellectual property, authored book chapters on Smart Cities, Digital Evidence, Trade Law, and is currently updating his book "Intellectual Property and Business" which introduces both IP law and strategy maximising the IP value of business.

Ms. Rebecca Lo

Ms Lo is a partner of the law firm Gallant, focusing on the laws of intellectual property, technology, media, entertainment and communications. She is President of the Hong Kong Group of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) as well as a Council Member and member of the Advisory Committee of APAA at an international level. Ms Lo also serves on the Intellectual Property Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong, and on the Council of Hong Kong Society of Notaries. Ms Lo is admitted to practise law in Hong Kong and the USA (California Bar). She is also a Hong Kong Notary Public, a China-appointed Attesting Officer, as well as an accredited mediator.

Mr. Michael Lin

Mr. Lin manages the Life Sciences group in Marks & Clerk’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices. He focuses on patent drafting, prosecution, IP strategies, and opinion work for companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, bioscience, materials science, and mechanical fields. Michael is passionate about helping Entrepreneurs, Startups, and Students understand IP possibilities and how to tie IP in with business. Accordingly, Michael is a frequent speaker on IP and Asian business matters for industry, associations, law schools and business schools.

Applicants must have completed “IP Manager Training Programme” or “IP101 IP Basics”

Course consists of 4 lectures, 2.5 hours per lecture, total 10 hours
