Mr.Kenneth Yip

Kenneth Yip is a Hong Kong lawyer specialising in IT contracts, IP matters and patents. Over the last two decades, he has helped many companies and organisations to receive more than 300 US, EU, and China patents, including ASTRI. Kenneth received his LLM from the City University of Hong Kong, LLB from the University of London, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and Bachelor in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Ms Chiang Ling Li

Chiang Ling Li's practice has focused on China IP and pharmaceutical law since 1994. She has been in the forefront of the law, leading successful litigation involving patents, trade secrets, copyright, unfair competition, 3-D marks and well-known marks, as well as pursuing criminal enforcement of IP infringement in China.  Chiang works closely with industry organisations lobbying for legal reforms, including those concerning patent linkage and data exclusivity, and has been appointed an arbitrator by CIETAC, HKIAC, ADNDRC, and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.

Mr. Ronald Yu

Mr. Ronald Yu is an U.S. Patent Agent, has conducted postgraduate classes on patent, intellectual property and information technology law at several Hong Kong universities, and is recently teaching on Fintech.  He started his career in IT and served in various roles at few multinational technology companies, including IBM and Hewlett-Packard. He has also served as the chairman of the Information Technology Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Board Member for the International IP Commercialization Council International Chapter and advisor of the World Intellectual Property Office’s WIPO Green. Ronald is the author of Intellectual Property for Business Volume 1 & 2, the co-author of the book Regulating Cross Border Data Flows and a chapter in the book Smart Cities in Asia, and the co-developer of the NFT risk rating system “TARID”.

Mr. Michael Lin

Mr. Lin manages the Life Sciences group in Marks & Clerk’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices. He focuses on patent drafting, prosecution, IP strategies, and opinion work for companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, bioscience, materials science, and mechanical fields. Michael is passionate about helping Entrepreneurs, Startups, and Students understand IP possibilities and how to tie IP in with business. Accordingly, Michael is a frequent speaker on IP and Asian business matters for industry, associations, law schools and business schools.
