The module covers both theoretical and practical knowledge about design and copyright laws in Hong Kong. Participants will learn what subject matters can be covered by copyright and registered design and characteristics of the two IP rights. Participants will also learn about infringement of copyright and registered design such as what constitutes infringement, different forms of infringement and remedies of infringement.

This module covers patent laws of China, US, Europe and UK, as well as PCT international patent application. Apart from introduction of principles, regulations and relevant procedures regarding the patent laws of these countries and regions, this module also allows the participants to understand common principles and procedures regarding patent laws among various countries and regions on the one hand, as well as understand differences and special features of the patent laws in respective countries and regions on the other hand, so that suitable strategies could be developed in view of global patent applications and enforcement of patent rights.
